David Richards

David has been a farmer his entire life, as his Dad was before him. David's farm, Ridgend, boasts 300 acres of Worcester pasture, 100 Holstein cows and produces an average of 2,500 litres of milk every day.

Those statistics only tell part of David's story. His wife Becky and four young children affectionately refer to him as a 'cow anorak'; a passion that sees him visiting other farms even when the family are on holidays.

David also produces all but 3% of the feed his cows consume and he is hugely proud of being a British farmer. As he says, "I want to be the very best farmer I can be – I want to be in the farming premiership".
