Best of British Hampers competition Terms & Conditions

  1. Open to UK, CI and IoM residents and BFPO aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Dairy Crest and their immediate families, its agents or anyone else professionally associated with this promotion.
  2. This promotion is available on packs of Country Life (Spreadable Standard 500g, Spreadable Standard 250g, Reduced Salt Spreadable 500g, Lighter Spreadable 500g) with promotional coverleaves, while stocks last. The 16-digit number can be found on the lid of the pack of Country Life and is made up of the date and pack code.
  3. To enter, go online at www.enjoycountrylife.co.uk and follow the instructions to enter your pack code.
  4. You can also enter by post. Please send entries on a plain piece of paper with your pack code, your name, address and contact telephone number, Country Life Hamper, PO Box 151, Ludlow, SY8 9BE. All entries must be received by the final closing date (12.02.10). Proof of posting is not proof of receipt and the Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost in the post.
  5. There are 24 prizes to be won. The closing dates for the weekly prize draws are 23.59 on each Friday starting on 27.11.09 and finishing on 12.02.10. Each draw will take place within 48 hours of the closing date, where two winners will be chosen.
  6. Purchase is necessary for residents of England, Wales, Scotland, IoM, CI and BFPO. Purchase is not necessary for residents of Northern Ireland. To enter the prize draw, residents of Northern Ireland can send an email with their name, address and telephone number to countrylifehamper@madabouthandling.com.  Northern Ireland entries without purchase are limited to one per household per week.
  7. Each pack number can be used up to ten times with the same personal details (e.g. name and address). The Promoter reserves the right to reject fraudulent entries.
  8. There are 24 prizes to be won in total: two to be won each week. Each hamper contains: Scottish smoked salmon from the Weald Smokery 454g, Dukeshill mini Wiltshire ham 900g, smoked duck breast 100g, black pudding 280g, Lincolnshire pork pie 1b, free range chicken liver pate with Brandy port and cranberries 125g, free range duck liver pate with apricots and Cornish blue cheese 125g, white Stilton with apricots 200g, Isle of Wight blue 200g, Wensleydale with cranberries 200g, Cathedral City Vintage 20 200g, Paxton & Whitfield biscuit selection 3x150g, Miller’s Damsels three seeds wafers 150g, Gilly’s caramelised red onion chutney 210g, Tracklements strong English mustard 140g, organic multigrain pave 400g, blueberry and cinnamon preserve 340g, lemon curd 290g, Cartmel sticky toffee pudding 390g, Dundee fruit cake 500g, cranberry flapjack 3x packs of 4, dark chocolate mendiants in a Kilner jar, shortbread finger tin from the Shortbread House of Edinburgh, Glenfiddich 12 Year Old 70cl, 2006 Grosvenor Blanc de Blancs, Ridgeview estate, Country Life block 250g, Country Life Spreadable Standard 500g, Country Life Spreadable Lighter 500g. Total value of the hamper is £250. The promoter reserves the right to modify the contents of the hamper if an item is not available, and replace by an item of similar or higher value. There will be no cash alternative. Deliveries will be done within two weeks after notification of the winners.
  9. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed due to technical problems.
  10. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any technical issues, system or software failures encountered on www.enjoycountrylife.co.uk or during entry into the promotion. We try to ensure the standard of the site remains high but we cannot be held responsible for interruptions of service. The Promoter reserves the right to suspend temporarily the operation of the site without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for any other reason beyond its control. You are responsible for all Internet connection costs charged by your service provider. If you do not pay the bill please get permission from the person who does.
  11. All draws will be made by an independent person. Winners will be notified by email and phone within 14 days of the close of each draw. The winners' data may be shared with designated third parties solely for the purpose of administering the promotion and delivery of the prize. The winner will be called to arrange a suitable delivery date.
  12. In the event of circumstances outside of its control, the Promoter reserves the right to award similar alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
  13. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  14. The winners may be required to take part in any publicity accompanying or resulting from the main prize draw and weekly draws. No compensation shall be awarded for such participation.
  15. The winners’ names and counties will be posted on this website and will also be available after the closing date by sending an SAE to Winners of Country Life Hamper, 185 Park Street, London, SE1 9DY.
  16. The entry instructions form part of the Terms and Conditions. By entering, entrants agree to accept and be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
  17. English law applies and the English Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with this promotion.
  18. Entrants must read and accept the website Terms and Conditions and Privacy Statement to be eligible.
